Sick of Snow

Today I am so over the snow. I just want it all to melt and go away. I don't mean to be such a whiny Texan, but enough already. It got bitterly cold so early this year, I am ready for spring. I see why people up here take a warm-localed break if they can.

Yesterday it was blowing all around and made the drive from school pretty slick. We passed several cars in the ditch and then fishtailed ourselves. That will certainly wake you up! At least it is sunny today. I almost feel like painting my kitchen bright yellow to cheer me up when it is so dark and all the streets have piles of dirty snow beside them. We are supposed to have lovely 40 degree weather this weekend and then go back to snow and the 20s and 30s. Ugh! What a tease! I just want to get out and plant something green!

Georgia's Bowling Birthday Bash

Georgia celebrated her 6th birthday at the local bowling alley. We did it one day early this year because the poor child was born on Super Bowl Sunday, which was again on her birthday this year. Twelve friends from school and Brody donned lime green t-shirts personalized with a bowling logo (so that the adults could easily see which kids were ours) and took to the lanes. They all seemed to have a great time practicing their various rolling techniques. Georgia was super excited when she bowled a spare, although the little brother did manage a slow-rolling strike. I was so happy that Honey and G.P. were able to join us and keep the mob corralled!

Snow Day

Honey and G.P. managed to fly in on the last flight of the night before the weather hit. We got about 8 inches at our house over the night, so no school today. Despite all the fun being cooped up in the house, Georgia lost her second tooth (on the bottom this time) in a week. I think the tooth fairy is going to get tired of lugging money to her pillow, snce Georgia has two more loose teeth.
