SA Zoo and Corpus Christi Beach

The kids and I stayed behind in Texas to visit with my parents. We took the kids to Corpus Christi and stayed on the beach. There were too many jellyfish to stay in the water long, but they seemed to enjoy it just the same. We ended up spending more time in the hotel pool. There were no complaints after a super-filling lunch at King's Inn, which is always worth the extra trip to Rivera.

Mom and I also braved the heat and took the kids to the San Antonio Zoo a few days later. It is kind of neat that my parents used to take me there and now I am taking them with her. As always, Brody loved the monkeys. The kids had a great time feeding the ducks and the catfish that were probably there when I was five years old! The butterfly exhibit was really cool, although my little girl was not happy that "one of the big blue ones" would not land on her.
