Peek-a-Boo!

I received a really cool camera for Mother's Day, so here are the first shots while I was reading the instruction booklet. My little ham kept saying "Cheese" and then hiding his face.

Sprinklers

Today it was 85 degrees. Hmmm, feels like home. So the sprinklers came out and the kids had a blast.

Spring Flowers

Last fall Georgia and I planted daffodils and tulips and this is the payoff for our efforts. The bright colors are really a welcome sight to all the dead brown stuff!

Easter Egg Hunt #2

We hunted eggs again inside this Easter. Poor Georgia has only had one outside egg hunt her entire life. She doesn't seem to mind searching among the couch cushions, though.

Are these eggs died?

Georgia later asked if the eggs were alive before we "died" them.

Easter Egg Hunt #1

We took the kids to the Champaign Country Club for breakfast and an Easter egg hunt on Saturday. They divided the kids into managable age groups, so they both had a lot of fun and found tons of candy. Brody ate his weight in grapes and Georgia oohed and aahed over the Easter Bunny when he arrived.

Punk Rock Boy

I caught my dear boy experimenting with gel today. I was trying to type up meeting minutes and realized that it was just too quiet. Upon entering my bedroom, I could see Brody, methodically putting baby hair and body wash on his hair and pulling it up into spikes. This was while he was dressed in a neon orange dance outfit and a silver bead necklace. He was so engrossed in styling his do, I was able to I film him for about 30 seconds. Great picture, though!

Kill The Wabbit!

Brody and I had a little fun today shopping for a few Easter items while Georgia was in school. He instantly fell in love with this viking helmet and would not take it off. Thank goodness it only cost two dollars. He even found one for me to wear. I guess I should be adding more "male orientated" (or at least unisex) items to the dress up trunk. With all Georgia's sequins, hats, and high heels, he has been looking like a bit of a cross dresser.

Indy

For Spring Break, the kids and I went to Indianapolis for a few days with my friend Amy and her children, Caleb and Olivia. We had a great time at the zoo. Georgia had fun running around and loved the dolphin show. Brody was enamored with the big cats and excitedly tried to call the male lion closer with "kitty, kitty, kitty." I enjoyed the giraffes that were really close in their pen. After a little shopping at the mall and swimming at the hotel, we called it a night. We checked out the children's museum the next day. They had a four-story art glass installation that was really neat. Brody tried to climb into a boat pond and Georgia dug for dinosaur bones. The kids had a blast, we barely saw a few of our friends that had come up for the day, and by early afternoon the moms were ready to pack it in.

The Big Dig

Chris and Georgia decided to dig her first snow tunnel. We had plenty of residual snow from our Valentine's Day Blizzard plus the extra three inches that fell yesterday. She tired early in the excavation and was only too happy to pose for these shots once she had supervised the process.
